For many years Lindsey had such a difficult time shopping. She was overwhelmed by too much sensory input both visually and verbally. We attempted shopping many times. Thinking back and reading my notes, I remember going to stores knowing I would not even attempt to put anything in my cart but just try to walk through a doorway of the store without her having a tantrum. Each time hoping to get further. We rewarded her with a cup of milk when we had a short positive experience.
